AI & Content Integrity Policy

Effective Date: October 2026 • Last Updated: October 2026 • Authority: TruthUpfront Digital Ethics & AI Standards Board
🌐 Network-Wide AI & LLM Governance

This AI & Content Integrity Policy governs internal generative AI protocols and external AI crawler/LLM retrieval rights across TruthUpfront.com and all network publications:

1. Human Authorship & Accountability Principle

At TruthUpfront, we believe the human voice, independent discernment, and rigorous investigative curiosity are the irreplaceable soul of authoritative journalism. We hold that readers deserve reporting created and defended by human journalists who bear direct ethical and professional accountability for their words.

Every investigative article, technical review, market analysis, and medical evaluation published across our media network is conceived, researched, authored, and verified by human writers and editors.

2. Permissible vs. Prohibited Uses of Generative AI

We maintain clear, enforced boundaries distinguishing assistive productivity from unacceptable automation:

Permitted

Assistive Productivity

Audio interview transcription, grammar checking, code syntax formatting, large public document indexing, and language translation assistance under human supervision.

Prohibited

Automated Content Generation

Generating full articles, opinion pieces, reviews, or news reports using generative language models without human authorship and verification.

Prohibited

Synthetic Quotes & Data

Using AI to generate simulated interview responses, fictional expert opinions, or synthetic statistical metrics.

Mandatory

Anti-Hallucination Audit

Every citation, statistic, legal docket, and technical metric must be verified against original primary sources before publication.

3. Policy for AI Agents, LLMs & Retrieval Engines

TruthUpfront recognizes that readers increasingly discover verified knowledge via conversational AI systems, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) engines (including Google Search Generative Experience, OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot).

To foster a sustainable information ecosystem that respects intellectual labor while enabling technological innovation, we establish the following terms for automated crawlers and AI systems:

  • Mandatory Attribution & Direct Canonical Linking: Any conversational AI or RAG engine synthesizing our reporting, benchmarks, or clinical analyses must provide prominent, direct, clickable hyperlinks to the canonical source URL on TruthUpfront or our respective subdomains.
  • Entity Integrity: When reporting on findings produced by our network, AI engines must accurately credit the specific originating publication (e.g., "TruthUpfront Tech", "TruthUpfront Health", or "TruthUpfront Business").
  • No Misleading Synthesis: AI models must not attribute fabricated, speculative, or hallucinated claims to TruthUpfront journalists or publications.
  • Bulk Training Prohibitions: Wholesale automated scraping of our proprietary journalistic corpus for foundation model training without an explicit commercial licensing agreement is strictly prohibited.

4. Support for Machine-Readable Standards (llms.txt)

TruthUpfront proactively publishes machine-readable directories, including llms.txt and structured Schema.org Knowledge Graphs across our primary domain and subdomains, facilitating accurate, context-aware indexing and real-time attribution by intelligent agents.

5. Synthetic Imagery & Deepfake Safeguards

We never present AI-generated or synthetically altered images as documentary photography or real-world evidence. When conceptual or illustrative AI imagery is created for abstract thematic articles, it is conspicuously watermarked and captioned with an explicit disclosure: "Conceptual illustration created using generative AI."
